Former USA Financial Securities Corporation Brokers James Conaway and Lorraine Conaway Consent to FINRA Fine and Suspension Relating to involvement with Tycon Properties

James Conaway (James Otis Conaway) has consented to a sanction from FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). FINRA is a non-governmental regulator of securities firms that focuses on investor protection and market integrity through effective and efficient regulation of the securities industry. In May 2018 James Conaway was fined $10,000 and suspended for 9 months from practicing as a broker. James Conaway worked for USA Financial Securities Corporation in Tustin, California from October 2015 to May 2016.

James Conaway was previously associated with JP Turner & Company, LLC, QA3 Financial Corp., Ameritas Investment Corp., among others.

FINRA alleges that James Conaway engaged in the following misconduct: failed to disclose the scope of their real estate related outside business activity, Tycon Properties and provided inaccurate information about those activities .

FINRA alleged that James and Lorraine Conaway established Tycon Properties and referred customers interested in purchasing investments rental properties to real estate vendors through Tycon Properties. James Conaway was fired by USA Financial Securities Corporation for failing to comply with Firm advertising and outside business activity rules, participating in financial transactions with securities clients, and failing to fully cooperate with the Firm’s investigation of his misconduct.

James Conaway has been the subject of at least 3 customer disputes.
