Former Wells Fargo broker John Vedovino barred from securities industry for fraudulently converting funds

John Vedovino (John Anthony Vedovino) has consented to a sanction from FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). FINRA is a non-governmental regulator of securities firms that focuses on investor protection and market integrity through effective and efficient regulation of the securities industry. The attorneys of Fishman Haygood Investment Fraud Lawyers are currently investigating possible claims against stockbroker John Vedovino.

In July 2018 John Vedovino, already suspended, is facing an indefinite bar from FINRA from practicing as a broker. John Vedovino worked for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in Wayne, New Jersey from 2014 to 2015.

John Vedovino was previously associated with HFP Capital Markets, LLC.

FINRA alleges that John Vedovino engaged in the following misconduct: fraudulently converting funds and failing to provide FINRA with testimony and documents relating to his bank accounts.

In June of 2017 Vedovino’s was license was suspended for failure to cooperate with FINRA’s investigation into fraudulent use of his personal financial accounts. FINRA’s investigation found that on 20 occasions Vedovino used his debit and credit cards for transactions totaling $3,727.93. He later inappropriately claimed these were fraudulent charges and was reimbursed by the bank. Vedovino failed to appear to provide on-the-record testimony for the investigation as well as failed to provide documents requested by FINRA. A Hearing Panel decision on July 5, 2018 found that Vedovino is barred from association with any FINRA member, a decision that will be finalized on August 22, 2018 if no further action is taken.
