Former Blackbook Capital, IAA Financial, and Legend Securities Broker Consents to FINRA Fine and Suspension Regarding Unsuitable Trades

Philip Fatta (Philip Orezio Fatta) has consented to a sanction from FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). FINRA is a non-governmental regulator of securities firms that focuses on investor protection and market integrity through effective and efficient regulation of the securities industry. In May 2018 Philip Fatta was fined $5,000 and suspended for 4 months from practicing as a broker. Philip Fatta worked for Spartan Capital Securities, LLC in New York, NY from May 2016 to February 2017.

Philip Fatta was previously associated with Blackbook Capital, LLC, IAA Financial, LLC, and Legend Securities, Inc. and Brookstone Securities, Inc., among others broker-dealers .

FINRA alleges that Philip Fatta engaged in the following misconduct: engaged in quantitatively unsuitable trading in a customer account in violation of FINRA Rules 2111 and 2010.

Philip Fatta has been suspended for failing to pay two substantial arbitration awards that were rendered against him in FINRA arbitrations. In July 2006, the NASD (now FINRA) settled another claim with Fatta in which he was alleged to have improperly altered five account transfer forms and charged unreasonable and excessive commissions.

Philip Fatta has been the subject of at least 10 customer disputes.
